About Us
BENSON LEE, Artistic Director
Currently Director of Music at Tarrant County College Northwest Campus, Benson Lee also serves as the Director of NW Chamber Orchestra, Artistic Director of InJoy Music Academy, and Director of the Hong Kong International Music Festival (U.S. Office).
Benson served as the Conductor of the Tarrant County College (NE) Opera and Chamber Orchestras, and the Assistant Conductor of the TCU Symphony Orchestra, TCU Chamber Orchestra, and TCU Opera Orchestra during 2014 – 2016. Benson earned his graduate degree at Texas Christian University in Orchestral Conducting under the direction of Maestros German Gutierrez and Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
As a professional conductor, Benson has collaborated with musicians from prestigious orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Fort Worth Symphony, Dallas Opera, Calgary Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Shenyang Symphony, etc. In 2015, Benson was appointed as the Assistant Conductor to Maestra Mei-Ann Chen and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra during the First Van Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival. Benson is currently a favorite guest conductor of many fine orchestras and institutions, including the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra, Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Conservatory of Music, Grandmaster Orchestral Society, among others.
Apart from conducting orchestras, Benson is also a prize-winning soloist and chamber music specialist. He has been granted the distinguished Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM, Violin Performance) from the U.K.
A passionate musician whether holding a violin or baton, Benson brings unparalleled artistry to all of his musical endeavors both in the United States and abroad.
JENNY LIN, Executive Director
Jenny Lin holds her Master’s degree from University of North Texas, Professional Performing Certificate from Lynn University, and Artist Diploma from Texas Christian University.
As an active performer, Jenny Lin has participated in Summit Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Manchester Music Festival, International String Festival, The Rhythm in Sunshine Music Festival and Mimir Music Festival.
Lin has also performed with the Miami Symphony Orchestra, The Palm Beach Pops Orchestra, Irving Symphony Orchestra as well as the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra,
University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra, Arlington Symphony Orchestra, Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra, TCU Chamber Orchestra, NW Chamber Orchestra, Tainan City Youth Orchestra, Tainan City Symphony Orchestra, and Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra.
As a passionate music educator, her students have won numerous competitions, All-State and All Region orchestras, and youth orchestra auditions. Her life purpose is to help students grow musically and equip them to learn and perform joyfully.
Catherine Livesay, Administrative Manager
Originally from Macau, Catherine Livesay began her piano training at the age of 12. Later she moved to the United States and earned a master’s degree in Information Systems. Although her formal training was in Business and Science, Catherine always had a special gift and love for children, which has only grown through the opportunities she has had to help and educate them.
Catherine is a lifelong student, an educator, and a proud mother. She and her husband Christopher will soon be moving to San Antonio, TX to start the exciting homeschool journey with their 2 wonderful children.
